When we sent out the notice, we changed these parts, making them stronger and less likely to fail even with considerable corrosion.
We are happy to report that in the eight years since this notice was sent, we have not had a significant response, with fewer than 10 replies, and only one cylinder replacement, with no breakage or failure.
But as products age, especially with heavy use in indoor pools, it is increasingly important to monitor for possible internal corrosion of these parts.
